#64: Load history followed by cancel can leave the GUI in a confused state

 If "load history" is selected during loading a TFT file, the user is given
 the option of cancelling the history load instead of selecting a file.
 This appears OK but can actual corrupt the numbering scheme so that new
 jobs are placed at the start of the list of fits/simulations.
