Comment:

 This is now resolved in that when a tft file is loaded, either by "load
 tft" or from the "load final/initial tft", all selections of fitting are
 first cleared. If the tft file contains selections for fitting, in the
 "extended tft format, these will be marked as "clear". This means that
 load final tft currently marks no variables as selected, since the
 returned file has no extended sections at present. If an initial tft file
 from a fit is loaded then the selected fitting variables will be marked as
 clear since the initial fit does use the extended format.
